Rochdale Borough CiCC, the ‘Listen Up Group’, meets fortnightly at Matthew Moss Youth Centre to give young people in care the opportunity have their voice heard and help improve local services provided.  They frequently speak to the corporate parenting board (CPB) to express any issues, concerns or praises from young people in care.  The last CPB meeting focused on ‘health’ and the CiCC gave a presentation about their views and experiences as cared for children.  The next subject they will be focusing on is ‘placement, choice, stability’.

The group are currently wanting to recruit new members and are planning to have some fun over summer.  If you are a child in care and want to have your voice heard, please contact Angie McCormack at angela.mccormack@rochdale.gov.uk or call 07527 385 759.
